Olive Oil & Honey Moisturising Hair Mask

Hello lovelies,

I know I am super excited to have created this blog and share everything and anything I know about all sorts of things especially hair. That is why I couldn’t wait to start sharing home made hair masks that are easy to make and very beneficial.

This is a mask that will be good for any type of hair, from 2a to 4c, with high or low porosity. My next posts will explain everything there is to know about hair types and porosity.

But anyways, on to the mask…

This is a mask that will condition your hair, making it shiny and the curls light, fluffy and of course give them moisture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

In a bowl mix both ingredients until they form a paste. Shampoo your hair, applying it mostly on your roots, the foam that the shampoo creates should be used for the length of your hair. Rinse it of. Apply the mask from your roots to your ends and massage your scalp gently. Wrap it up in a plastic bag and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. After the time is up, wash it off and then apply your conditioner. Rinse the conditioner and you are good to apply your leave in.

It is as simple as that.

Here is what my hair looked like before the mask.

As you can see it was extremely dry.

Now after the mask, I personally think it looks way better, has a shine to it. It feels much softer and silky. Even though it is not completely dry yet, you can already imagine that it will not be that dry.

I would also like to receive some if you will be doing the mask.

Please let me know.
