What in the world is this friend I’m talking about?
Glycerin!
A neutral, sweet-tasting, thick colourless liquid that freezes to a gummy-like paste.
Okay, sure. Why is this gummy-like paste my friend?
Because, it extracts humidity. If the temperature outside is humid, glycerin will pull in the humidity to your hair. You have to be careful though, because if it pulls, of course it will push. If the temperature is dry, it will remove the humidity in your hair to the environment. And the best glycerin to be used on our hair is vegetable glycerin.
So we take this to our advantage. I will show you two ways in which that can be possible.
Option 1:
- 1 tablespoon of glycerin
- 1 cup of water
Apply it to your scalp and along your hair extension and let it sit for 20 minutes. Afterwards, wash it and finalise your hair as you normally would.
Option 2:
6 ml of glycerin to your hair moisturising cream. Apply the cream to your hair and let it sit for 20 minutes inside a shower cap so that your hair absorbs more of the water. Wash it and finalise it as you normally would.
Glycerin is really helpful with peeling on your scalp.
Did you know glycerin was such a good product to be used on your hair? Do you know of any other ways it can be applied?
