This one is for you. You will not eat it of course, but if even just the smell is enough, you will be satisfied. Boys, if you feel that your hair is not long enough to apply the mask, have your girl apply and she will be smelling of coffee for you for at least 2 days! I know of many coffee lovers that wouldn’t mind inhaling the smell every once in a while.
This mask will not give you just smell, but also the softness, shine and hydration. Did you know coffee is a natural dye that can be used on your hair? Yes, your already brown hair will look even better with that coffee brown. Your black hair will have this shiny brown colour barely noticeable under the light. Don’t worry though, it comes of as you wash it. It just gives your hair a different look.
Ready for the ingredients? The best part about these ingredients, is that you can find them in your kitchen. You will need:
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of coffee, I prefer granulated coffee but you can also used powdered
- 1 tablespoon of honey/olive oil, in my case I used olive oil
- 2 tablespoons of a hydrating mask, I used Yamasterol which can be used in many ways I will tell you all about it in a different post. I also added 3 spoons instead of 2 because of the length of my hair, the longer the hair, the more you will need.
A quick video of how I put everything together, it is extremely easy.
After washing your hair with your shampoo or co-wash and removing the excess water so your hair is humid and not dripping wet, apply the mix and leave it on for 40 minutes. When the 40 minutes are up, finish as you normally would with your conditioner and hair cream.
If you have very fragile and thin hair, you should avoid this mask as the sugar serves as an exfoliant removing all that product build up. You do not want to exfoliate something that is already too fragile or thin, it will just break or intensify its fragility.
Can you see the difference the mask has done to the hair?
