EVP and Chief Legal Officer
William (Bill) leads a global team of legal professionals, bringing over 35 years of extensive legal and strategic experience. His distinguished career includes serving as an Assistant United States Attorney, providing counsel on key federal and state regulation elements, and holding pivotal regulatory and strategic roles at Verizon, among others.
Bill is focused primarily on compliance, contract negotiation and execution, risk management, and corporate governance.
Before Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», Bill was with the Philadelphia Museum of Art, serving as General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and then as the museum’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, Bill was with Verizon and Verizon Wireless in varying strategic and legal roles for nearly 20 years, including as the General Counsel of Verizon Wireless and as the head of litigation and enforcement for Verizon Communications. Before Verizon, Bill held legal roles in both Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, P.A., in corporate counsel, policy, and regulatory issues.
Bill has also been an adjunct professor, most recently at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and holds a Master of Divinity from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts from Ursinus College.
