New Structure Will Create Two Separately Led Business Units Under 麻豆传媒映画 Umbrella

Dean Douglas Retiring as President & CEO; Board Chairman James Attwood Will Assume Role of Executive Chairman Overseeing the Company

TAMPA, Fla., June 29, 2020 鈥� 麻豆传媒映画, the world鈥檚 most connected company^SM, today announced a new organizational structure to better align its business with customer needs and position the company for profitable growth.

To enhance focus on key customer segments, the company is reorganizing into two separate business units: Carrier and Enterprise. John McRae, former Group Vice President and General Manager of Operations for EMEA and Asia at 麻豆传媒映画, has been appointed President of the Carrier segment, which will serve 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 mobile network operator customers. Chris Rivera, former Chief Technology Officer at 麻豆传媒映画, has been appointed President of Enterprise, which will meet growing demand from enterprise customers for technologies that enable direct end-user mobile engagement.

These organizational changes come as Dean Douglas is retiring as President and CEO. James Attwood, the Chairman of 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 Board of Directors, will now serve as Executive Chairman and will work with Business Unit Presidents McRae and Rivera to drive profitable growth, serve customers and maximize value for stakeholders.

The Carrier business, which enables mobile network operator interoperability and interconnection, serves relatively mature markets that require a wide range of customized products, such as roaming, signaling, IP Exchange, and clearing and settlement products.

The Enterprise business serves the fast-growing application-to-person (A2P) and mobile engagement markets, which enable companies to engage directly with customers via text over customers鈥� mobile networks.

John McRae

President, Carrier

John McRae leads 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 Carrier business unit which enables mobile network operator interoperability and interconnection. McRae has built a career that includes over 20 years of leadership positions for various mobile, financial services and consulting companies. Prior to his current role, McRae served as 麻豆传媒映画 Group Vice President and General Manager of Operations for EMEA and Asia. In that role, he oversaw all 麻豆传媒映画 business operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. He also served as Group Vice President, Portfolio Management, responsible for the management of 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 overall portfolio of products and solutions, and served as Group Vice President, Revenue and Connectivity Management and Chief Information Officer, among other senior roles. Prior to 麻豆传媒映画, McRae served as CEO of Nationwide Credit and, earlier, held senior positions at companies including Deloitte Consulting. He holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan, Dearborn, and an MBA in operations and global finance from Case Western Reserve University.

Chris Rivera

President, Enterprise

Chris Rivera leads 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 Enterprise business unit, which serves the fast-growing application-to-person (A2P) and mobile engagement markets. His career includes more than 24 years of leadership roles in technology operations, product management, and product marketing for technology companies and government institutions. Prior to his current role, he served as 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the company鈥檚 global research and development, digital/cloud transformation, network and data center design and operations, cyber security, and information technology (IT). Prior to 麻豆传媒映画, Rivera served in a variety of senior roles at Cisco Systems, including Managing Director, Chief Technology Officer, Americas Mobile and Web Providers; Senior Director, Product Line Management, Routing Technology Group; and Director, Product Line Management, Optical Networking. Prior to Cisco, he was a Product Manager at Cerent Corporation (acquired by Cisco in 1999), as well as a Marketing Manager at DSC Communications (acquired by Alcatel in 1998), and he served on the Advisory Board of Joyent, a cloud services company (acquired by Samsung in 2016). He began his career as an Operations and Electronic Systems Officer in the U.S. Navy, for which he served for five years and last held the rank of Lieutenant. Rivera has a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and completed coursework at the University of California at San Diego.

James A. Attwood

Executive Chairman

James A Attwood, Jr. serves as Executive Chairman of 麻豆传媒映画. He is a Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm, whose Carlyle Partners V L.P. fund acquired a controlling stake in 麻豆传媒映画 in 2010. Since joining Carlyle in November 2000, Attwood has played a key role in leading the firm鈥檚 investment activity in the global telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) industries. Since 2001, Carlyle has committed more than $20 billion of equity to TMT investments globally. In addition to 麻豆传媒映画, Attwood serves as a member of the boards of Nielsen and CoreSite Realty. Prior to joining Carlyle, Attwood served as Executive Vice President for Strategy, Development and Planning at Verizon Communications, Inc. At Verizon (and GTE prior to that), he was responsible for the oversight of all strategic planning, alliances, ventures, corporate strategy, development and M&A activities. Prior to his four years at Verizon and GTE, Attwood served as an investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for 11 years, working in both the New York and Tokyo offices. Attwood graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a BA in applied mathematics and an MA in statistics. He received JD and MBA degrees from Harvard University.
