Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Spotlights Gains in Diversity, Sustainability in Third Annual ESG Report
Progress continues in reducing carbon footprint, transforming company leadership
TAMPA, Fla. — Nov. 6, 2023 — Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», "the world's most connected company,"® has published its third annual environmental, social, and governance (ESG) report, which highlights the progress it continues to make toward being more sustainable, diverse, and equitable.
The report details Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s performance throughout the fiscal year that ended on Nov. 30, 2022, and illustrates the company's enduring focus on a greener future. It reduced its energy in operations by 3% since last year, decreased its scope 1 and 2 emissions by 5%, and again disposed of 100% of its e-waste responsibly.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» also remains committed to a progression in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). After establishing its DEI Council in 2021, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» has increased diversity on its board of directors from 13% to 33% and is still working to develop an even more inclusive culture and workplace.
Community engagement is another core component of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s ESG focus. Tampa employees delivered hot afternoon meals to older adults each week in cooperation with Meals on Wheels. Their colleagues in Luxembourg collected and sorted 3,867 pounds (1,754 kilos) of non-perishable goods to benefit a local food bank, and employees in China, Hong Kong, and India donated their time to plant trees and clean up parks and beaches.
"Connecting the world is a privilege we don't take lightly — and with privilege comes responsibility," said Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» CEO Andrew Davies. "We're keenly aware that being transparent about our ongoing commitment to ethical and sustainable operations around the world keeps us accountable to our customers, stakeholders, and communities. This ESG report demonstrates the continued dedication of that promise."
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»'s ESG strategy and framework, known by the acronym "RISE," identifies four areas that are critical to long-term sustainability and success: a responsibility to promote ethical practices; an inclusive culture for employees and global community; service integrity in performance, security, and privacy; and environmental performance that protects the world.
